Dimension Data Microsites

Dimension Data is one of our long-term clients. We do various bits and pieces for them, but one of the most common requests we receive (usually on quite a tight schedule!) is to build microsites.
Dimension Data runs numerous events throughout the year and each microsite serves as a way of providing information about the event, as well as capturing any registrant details.
As the goal of the site is to provide information in a clear and concise manner, we opted to go for a very simple look to keep things uncluttered. This particular site is a single page site which 3 distinct areas:
- Header section – The Dimension Data logo is shown within this section, as well as an attention grabbing image to instantly reemphasise the theme of the event (in this case, golf).
- Left hand side – This area contains a brief explanation about the event as well as numerous Calls To Action (CTAs).
- Right hand side – The registration form with form validation and the option to receive an iCalendar invite.
The site was created from the ground up, using a combination of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and MySQL. When a user registers for the event, the information is saved as a record in the database. At the same time, an email notification confirming the event registration is sent to the registrant (with an iCalendar invite if they opted for it) and to the admin. We also built functionality for the admin to be able to download a full report at any time.
Creating fully custom websites like these within a tight deadline is possible owing to our extensive knowledge & experience in these areas. If you need a website that requires unique functionality, please don’t hesitate to contact us – we’ll be more than happy to discuss your project with you!
