CHAMBERS, Marketing And Design, Farnham Surrey And Guildford Surrey
Chambers waste managements marketing activity needed a bit of a lift late last year when Pelling Design won the contract to become their incumbent marketing and design agency.
Our marketing and design contract was set for 1 year, so we wasted no time in undertaking the following tasks and taking a full audit of;
- Marketing activities to date
- What has worked and what hasn’t
- Overview of design elements
- Design collateral
- Website audit, including SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) report
- Database review
- Sales team meeting
- Management meeting
The major take away from the initial audit was the website needed a complete overhaul, aesthetically and structurally so we could make it work harder for us and begin to generate new business leads. This was a 6-8 month process which we are still working through but it will be well worth it.
Bringing the Chambers brand up to date and modernising the look and feel, tone of voice and design elements was next on the agenda.
We decided to keep the Chambers work mark itself the same. it has wonderful local recognition and adorns 100’s of trucks, pick ups, cars and vans not to mention all of their skips. We really wanted to make all the elements that surround this central brand piece coherent, modern, contemporary with a clear brand message at their core
We undertook an extensive design project and created a vast bank of design assets, including, but not limited too; Emails, Social posts, Direct mail, the website itself, Internal comms (posters, leaflets etc), Leaflets, Brochures, stationery (business cards, letterheads and compliment slips) and a full icon bank.
Having a full icon bank was time well spent as we utilised these on multiple internal and customer facing design elements – they look great on the website and really add the contemporary design feel we were after.
Being a company who exclusively market themselves within a strict local area, we could really afford to be highly targeted with digital advertising and social post campaigns. This resulted in a very high ROI (Return on investment) for most of the campaigns.
We also adopted a ‘always on’ social channel feed, which would act as a really strong brand awareness campaign… keeping the chambers name out there and making sure the brand really resonates with the local community.
It has been a great account to work on, and we have really enjoyed the first few months and looking forward too many more.
